Just a short note to thank you for everything you have done for me.  As you know, I've had an extreme case of eczema since 2003.  It covered all of my arms, legs, chest, back and even my feet.  I have had only 5 treatments and my results are amazing.  I must be, at least, 80 to 85% clear.  Thanks again,

​I have osteoarthritis in my back.  If you go to a doctor, he’ll give you all kinds of pills for pain that don’t work.  I had a bad back for years, nothing ever helped until I went to Wyoming with my cane and wheelchair.  My Niece talked me into going to her acupuncturist, Dr. Kate Johnston.  I could hardly get to her office.  She gave me treatments two times a week for two and a half months - I went back to California without  either one, cane or wheelchair!   
Lots of people are afraid of acupuncture - it does not hurt - just a little prick.  
I am 85 years old and I walk every day now, quite a long trip, about four blocks - that’s long for me - or further sometimes.
She also gave me herbs for constipation.  They really helped me too!

With a history of asthma, extensive allergy and chronic fatigue, I’ve been amazed by the great improvement I’ve experienced with regular acupuncture treatments.  I seem to get stronger with each successive treatment.
Allergy and asthma symptoms have improved and continue to improve.  My resistance has improved so that I get substantially fewer colds and flu, and I no longer experience chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia symptoms that had bothered me for years. I have had chronic obesity since 1982.  Dr. Kate treated my husband for back and neck pain last fall with such success that in January of 2005 I decided to try acupuncture to help me lose weight.  My health status was such that my next plan was to have the stomach reduction or bypass surgery. I had very little energy, I got colds, flu and sinus infection often.  I had constipation, high blood pressure, rising cholesterol levels, rising triglyceride levels and a general tiredness that pervaded my life. I have tried various diets, running, walking, step-ercise, “Redux”, weight watchers, “green food” and Chitosan.  Each of these worked for a short time but then quit working and I regained the weight I had lost and more. I started acupuncture the end of January.  I felt differently by the following day.  There was a noticeable difference in a week, in my size.  I have had a continuing loss of weight and have had a progression in my energy level.  I  no longer am awake at night or get up 2-3 times for the bathroom.  I am not suffering chronic constipation, it is only an occasional problem.  I am more “centered” now in my life.  I continue to watch my diet carefully and get exercise 2-3 times a week.  My co-workers comment on the fact that I am not as easily irritated.  Physically, I have watched “hard” fat change to loose fat that is going away.  My feet are smaller, and I am much more flexible.  I have more stamina, can walk longer distances without fatigue.  I am very appreciative of Dr. Kate Johnston and her knowledge.  Her skills have enabled me to lose 3 sizes in 3 months.  My appetite is reduced.  My weight continues to drop.  My skin is shrinking with me leaving no “flaps”.  My blood pressure is closer to normal.  My cholesterol levels and triglycerides are down.  I am very pleased with my treatments.

I met Dr. Kate Johnston through her husband, my sensei, Master Dave Johnston.  He actually did my first treatment on my shoulder that I'd somehow injured and could hardly move. It worked SO well, that I called Kate and asked her if she had ever cured infections with it. I've had a chronic infection for going on eight years. She said that she has, so she gave me three treatments to work on that, as well as some other issues that I was having. It worked wonderfully. My infection is now in remission. My doc says that it's not totally gone, but it is in remission and that's a vast improvement over eight years ago.  Just today, Kate came over to treat me for allergies, and I'm breathing better already. Kate has my eternal gratitude.

I had sinus congestion, sinus headaches and fluid in my ears for most of my life.  When seasons were changing I experienced severe sinus headaches, allergies and lack of energy.  I tried everything short of surgery.  The drugs made the symptoms worse.  With acupuncture treatment from Dr. Kate Johnston, I feel better within days.  My sinuses are clear and I have more oxygen and I just feel much better. I saw Dr. Johnston regarding my mouth/facial pain.  My dentist had drilled through my gum tissues and damaged the mental nerve near tooth #15.  The lower left part of my mouth was numb and painful.  When I finally gathered enough courage to seek help, I went to Dr. Johnston.  During treatment I felt warmth, a lot of blood flow in the above-mentioned area of my mouth.  I cried tears of disbelief.  It was truly a miraculous experience.  I no longer feel the intense pain in my mouth. 
I have been receiving acupuncture treatments from acupuncturist Kate Johnston on a weekly or biweekly basis for the past three months.  My primary health problems are osteoarthritis and lumbar disk disease.  However, Kate has also been treating me for other problems such as sciatica, dermatitis, headaches, sore knees, low energy and stress. My acupuncture treatments for dermatitis, headaches, stress and low energy produce positive results within hours.  Since my low back condition is a long standing condition, acupuncture probably cannot cure it, but it does control the pain and inflammation.  At this point I have very little sciatica and continue to be very mobile in my job. Acupuncture treatments produce a feeling of well-being and focused energy that help me to deal with physical problems more effectively. I highly recommend Dr. Kate Johnston as an acupuncturist.  She is both skilled and knowledgeable.

I first came (very hesitantly I might add) because of a very bad headache I had nonstop for five months, and stress.
I was totally down with pain.  I would get up in the mornings and make it to the couch and that is where I would be for the day.  I couldn’t think, move, clean my home, take care of my family, let alone hold a job.  My life was a mess. Before I decided to try acupuncture, the doctors had tried almost every headache medication on the market and none worked. Some friends were talking about how Dr. Johnston had helped so very much with their allergies and my daughter’s husband suggested it also since he has acupuncture done for his carpal tunnel. Acupuncture helped take enough of the hard edge off that I could start living again. It is now a year later and I still have the headache, although it is much easier to handle.  I am working and feeling young again.  I can tell if I wait too long between treatments, my body misses it.  I am hooked on feeling great!  I have energy, I am loosing weight.  I am working.  I feel 100% compared to a year ago.  Acupuncture has given me back my life!
